Mad River Antler in Montana

In June, my wife and I took a nice trip out to Whitefish, Montana. I spent two of days working and learning with another antler artist Robin Collier. Robin does the big stuff and is one of the top antler artist out west. I was very happy that Robin made time to spend working on some of his larger projects. The following picture is creation we worked together on. I the student and Robin the master. Thanks again Robin for your time and hospitality.

Besides working with antler, I decided to purchase some as well. I discovered a dealer out west that I was able to “hand pick” Elk, Mule and Whitetail deer sheds. When you live in Vermont, you count on having someone else do the picking. Thank god we have Moose in Vermont! The sheds we picked are some of nicest I have worked with in a long time.

The balance of our time we focused on Glacier National Park. A MUST see! The Road to the Sun is something very special. Both my wife and I marveled at Gods creation every mile that passed.
