antler-floor-lamp

It was a very busy holiday season and we’ve been creating a number of new pieces to support our Waitsfield, VT gallery and our upcoming 2014 show schedule.

In January, I started out making a very cool floor lamp with elk and moose antler. I recently picked up some beautiful cherry burl wood that I thought would compliment the lamp and add a shelf as well. My new order of Brazlian agate lamp shades just arrived late in the month that adds a uniqueness to the piece. I then finish it off with a full range dimmer so you can dampen or brighten the light. It also transforms the light differently through the agates as well. The finial top I make from real antler sheds to truly make this a One Of a Kind piece of art.

This unique table is made from real elk and moose shed antlers. I picked up a number of pieces of wood from Tuckaway Timber in Lyme, NH. David Mather has a eye for unique wood and he called me regarding the top thats on this table. It Cuban Mahogany that he picked up southern Florida. The base looks really cool. The moose antler on the bottom creates a space for magazines or remotes for your entertainment center.

Another cool table. Real elk and deer antler makeup the bottom. The top is a slab of sugar maple burl. It’s very hard to find large pieces of burl and this one came from Lyme, NH. All these pieces will be on display over the Presidents weekend at Sugarbush Ski Resort.
