ARTIST STATEMENT:
Mad River Antler
creates and crafts unique antler art
in the form of antler lighting fixtures,
antler chandeliers, antler table lamps,
antler floor lamps, antler candle holders,
antler wine holder and racks, antler pens,
antler furniture, antler sconces
and other rustic lighting, rustic home
accessories and decor.
Moose,
elk and deer are the only animals that naturally
shed (drop) their antlers each year
and by the power of Mother Nature they grow back. No harm
comes to the animal whatsoever. Antler Sheds
are recovered through early spring by hiking into densely
wildlife populated areas and/or purchased from professional
Shed Hikers from the Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, Wyoming,
Montana, Alaska and Canada.
Each
Antler is carefully hand selected,
crafted and sealed to enhance its beauty and character
along with a profound love and respect for nature. Each
Mad River Antler creation is individually
handcrafted by artisan Ken Kenia in the heart of Vermont's
Green Mountains. All Mad River Antler lighting
is constructed with UL approved components and installed
with the finest craftsmanship in the industry. We also
provide custom creations to fit your needs.
In
the modern age of disposable items, I am proud to present
these unique and one-of-a-kind heirloom quality
works of art provided by Mother Nature herself
